It's so much fun to have a group of teens who are always looking for a new FB shot. I have a great new lens, the Sigma 50mm 1.4, and I'm still trying to figure out it's shooting range, so I was more than happy to oblige.

I love it when I have the opportunity to shoot a family in their own environment, and today I made a short jaunt out past New Hope to this beautiful stone house and grounds. The drive and farm reminded me again of how much I truly enjoy living in Bucks County. You could travel far and wide and not find a more scenic area. The portrait session had been a gift for the parents, and I was so glad we were able to squeeze it in while the whole family was together for the weekend.

I don't usually shoot events, but a good friend from college asked. Congrats Brooke and Al!

I have watched this you tube video three times today, and I am so thankful to have stumbled upon it. What a great reminder to cherish each and every day with your children, and most especially, the ordinary days. I resolve to take more snapshots, and truly be "present" in each moment I get to share with my children. Of one thing I am certain, they will be grown long before I am ready for them to be.

I really think only mothers with boys can truly appreciate this series. Ask two cousins, ages 9 and 12, to smile in the middle of setting off fireworks, and this is what you get!
