I'm anxious to get out and try out the new polarizing filter that I got for mother's day, but it seems the rain will never end around here. I thought we were supposed to get a little break today, but the downpour started around 1, and hasn't stopped yet. Just a little shot I caught the other day.

This year I decided to try my hand at container gardening. I have a tomato plant staked right beside my front door (the only side of the house with enough sun), and a basil plant going in a terra cotta pot. It's funny how excited I am about the two little green tomatoes that are growing. Tonight's dinner will be tomatoes with fresh picked basil and fresh mozarella drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Yum!

This swan has taken up residence at Palatine Lake, near my parents home in Elmer, NJ. I hope to get back to get shots of the chicks once they hatch. The little town of Elmer (one red light long) is near the towns of Shirley and Norma.

I had the opportunity to do some head shots of N today. She has the most unbelievably beautiful hair - perfect spirals. I remember trying so many perms (back in "the day"), trying to achieve that look. Of course, I only ended up with a frizzy mess! N had great blue eyes to go with her strawberry blonde hair - very photogenic, and so easy to work with.
