We spent the weekend camping at Parvin State Park in southern New Jersey with Grammy, Pappy, and my brother and family. It was nice to see everyone and spend time together, but I realized again why I don't consider myself a camper. Happy to be home with a hot shower and warm bed.

Finished up the still life series for Harvest Day. Still have a couple more to work on, but they will have to wait until I scour antique stores for some missing items.

My oh my, these are stunning shot of vintage veggies, i like the processing applied.

I decided to work on my first series of still lifes, and I hope to have a few available at the Yardley Harvest Festival in a couple of weeks. I have had a tent there for the past few years, and will be adding some new prints to my display this year. I have several other ideas percolating, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to find the pieces in time to put them together. Never enough time...

This is the Grist Mill located in "downtown" Yardley. As I've mentioned before, I just love living in Bucks County, where we are surrounded by historical sites, as well as beautiful, bucolic countryside. 30 minutes from Phildelphia, a little over an hour to New York, and less than an hour to great New Jersey beaches. I'm starting to sound like a brochure from the visitor's center...

I think I may have passed this building too in my travels through Bucks County! I agree ... Bucks County is awesome ... i love the old buildings you can find along the river north of New Hope ...

The canal path from Washington Crossing to New Hope has been closed since the last big flood, several years ago. We love to ride our bikes up, which is about 7 miles each way. For a couple of years we had to resort to using the New Jersey side, which is not nearly as interesting and scenic as the Pennsylvania side. We had heard the PA side was finally re-openend this summer, and today was the first chance we had to give it a try. I remembered again what a beautiful ride it is. We biked up, had lunch at our favorite outdoor restaurant in New Hope, Fran's Pub, and biked back. Great day!

(09.22.09)Impresionante!!! Con esa niebla que poco a poco se va apoderando de todo a su paso.
